“I was 16 years old when I started seeing Heather.  I had been in therapy off and on since I was about 14, but my parents decided to switch me over to life coaching because they didn’t think therapy was proactive enough for me.  After my first session I had already fallen in love with Heather.  She was funny, smart, energetic, beautiful, and her story when she was younger was very similar to mine, and I felt that she actually got where I was coming from, and wasn’t judging me or looking down at me as I had previously felt with therapists.  When I went to Heather, I was finishing up my sophomore year at a school that I hated, I was partying hard every weekend, sneaking out of my house, constantly lying to my parents, drinking a lot, smoking weed occasionally, and I was a horror to live with.  I sought to numb my feelings and saw my parents and siblings as road blocks in my pursuit to have “fun”.
